Southbound view at C&M Crossing, March 2007 after the washouts have been filled.  Here our track bears to the right (west) and follows the old B&O Eastern Ohio Branch towards Cumberland, 8 miles from here.  For many years, this track used to continue straight (south) on to Pleasant City, Caldwell, and Marietta.

Northbound view at C&M Crossing, March 2007.   The heavy cross-ties of  the old PRR / B&O crossing were unearthed during the track renovation and are visible in the foreground.

Eastbound view of C&M Crossing, new ties awaiting installation. This was the old B&O "Eastern Ohio Branch".  Until the late 1960's this coal hauling line extended eastward through Buffalo and Senecaville, and onward to Lore City.

Westbound view at SR 821 crossing, near Pleasant City.

Westbound view near SR 821 crossing, Banner Mine was located to the right.  The railroad served the mine and the roadbed is visible in the background. The countryside between here and Cumberland is rural and very scenic.
