On
a warm summer day in 2006, this section crew makes another pass at clearing the
brush from the right-of-way in the cut south of Derwent.
Dave
and Fred with BSRW motorcar north of C&M Crossing. The railroad south
of C&M Crossing to Marietta was abandoned circa the
late 1970's / early 1980's.

The truck is parked on the site of the old "diamond" where B&O
and PRR branch lines once crossed.
One
of several washouts at C&M Crossing that had to be repaired due to the
devastating floods of 1998 and 2004. Both floods washed away many yards
of ballast and dozens of cross ties.

From here southwest to Cumberland, this was the B&O Railroad's
"Eastern Ohio Branch".

Crossing. This old B&O line originally started in Lore City and
passed through the towns of Senecaville and Buffalo.
